Description of Research: My research focuses on understanding and improving treatment engagement and treatment outcomes for Veterans engaged in evidence-based trauma-focused interventions for PTSD. I have contributed to studies focusing in treatment initiation and dropout, and studies focused on improving implementation of Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Written Exposure Therapy. I have served as a local site investigator on randomized controlled trials designed to improve treatment engagement and outcomes during concurrent treatment of PTSD and substance use disorders.
Relevance to VA: I am a clinician and an investigator at the Atlanta VA Healthcare System in the PTSD Clinic.
