managing employees paid through the Atlanta Research &
Education Foundation.
All job postings and new hires must be approved by the
Executive Director. To initiate the hiring process please
contact Ellen Schneider.

- The job description worksheet must be completed and posted
while you are searching for a new employment candidate.
The job description must be posted for 5 working days before
an individual can be given a job offer. Fax a copy to
the
AREF office at 404-235-3061 for posting.
- Have the candidate complete the job application form,
in addition to providing his/her resume.
- Once you have selected the person you wish to hire, contact
the AREF administrative office and, upon approval, we
will prepare the job offer letter. No one may begin working
until
they have received and signed a job offer letter from
our Executive Director.
- Turn in the job application form /resume and new hire
memo to the AREF administrative office. The new hire
memo must have the signature of the Principal Investigator
for whom the employee will be working. An e-mail from
the Principal Investigator regarding salary will suffice.
All e-mails regarding new hires should be directed to
Ellen Schneider,
HR Manager. Please be sure to mention the new employees
name, social security number, home address, start date,
job title /project, supervisor and salary.
All AREF employees must receive a VA "Without Compensation"
(WOC) appointment.
